MY PRACTICE
Over the past 30+ years, my cross disciplinary practice has been applied in the field of lighting design and stage production. My high-level knowledge in creating 'peak experience' visuals for headline acts has enabled me to refine my command of diverse media and spaces.
My experience as a lighting designer is extensive. I have taken every opportunity to explore the human condition and our response to visual stimuli.
Live performance has been at the core of my practice. The cultural shift of the human experience, a desire for the experiential and the changing nature of placemaking sees the performance expanded beyond the traditional boundaries of the stage.
My practice centres around intersections. The confluence of worlds. The exploration of non-verbal communication through shared experience. The interplay between empathy (the share emotional state) and social cognition. The individual and the collective.
My work responds to accept and engage with change. My work is a response to the brief, or to the prevailing conditions of location, time and budget, or other determining factors
