GALLERY

Kylie Minogue - from her first live performance to preparations for her appearance in the Sydney Olympic ceremonies. The photos and video are from her third world tour, Kylie, Intimate and Live. I also provided designs for her first world tour, Kylie, Enjoy Yourself

Rockpool - created by Mark McClelland & Cathy Drew for the Bay Pavilions Arts & Leisure Centre, Batemans Bay. To realise the artists lighting vision for Rockpool, I collaborated with Sam Hopkins to develop the 36 custom light fittings within the sculpture and additional top light fixed to the glulam columns. The photos were taken on the install day. Programming was stored on an independent playback system. Programmed lighting greets the early morning users before resting through daylight. As daylight fades, Rockpool lights up to greet for the evenings offering of entertainment.

Jimmy Barnes - Two Fires Tour. Designed to tour arenas, this production featured a pueblo deco inspired set, a motorised drum riser and an elaborate stage lift for Jim's entrance. Other highlights included 4 x motorised lighting pods that moved to new positions during the performance.

Brian Jonestown Massacre -An experiment in immersive visuals. Vision was mapped to the pipe organ, while lighting filled the space to create an environment without borders between the audience and the performers.

Crowded House - a band renowned for live performance.  From the first tour in 1986 through to 1995 I was production designer for this unique band. I worked with Nick Seymour to bring his album artwork to life for the touring shows. Noel Crombie and Sally-Anne Mills collaborated on two of the touring sets. My regular collaborator on lighting was Vari-lite operator David Harding.

Various Projects - this gallery contains a selection of works including; Placido Domingo in concert, Rone - art exhibition, Narara Music Festival, Morocco Art Festival, IBM Opera Australia sponsors diner & Melbourne Festival diner, Beauty & the Beast credit, Will Young concert designs, Star City Casino exterior lighting and Carlos Acosta and Dame Darcy Bussell rehearsing a duet, Nokia New Years Eve-Hong Kong.

A Special Event - a celebratory dinner. The lighting and decor create a sumptuous setting. A single fixed scene that fills the space. Only the people move within the space, creating transformation and drama.

IBM Sydney Olympics - the Surf Shacks were internet cafes set up in Darling Harbor (public) and the Athletes Village (athletes). The Athletes Village Shack incorporated a broadcast interview set and the Darling Harbor Shack contained a radio station. Both Shacks were extremely popular.
